Vinoy Bike Bash

Went to the Bicycle Bash in Vinoy Park, St. Pete Sunday. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It's always great being around people who are all striving for the same cause.
Got some nice pieces of information and entered a few bike raffles that I didn't win. Really I didn't need to get another bike, I just thought it was be nice to support local groups.
Saw the USF Cycling team there. They were auctioning away a sweet green and gold cruiser and some rims. I also met a man who accepts donated bikes to refurbish and relay to homeless people. He had a trailer full of some potentially good bikes. Jeff Sheridan and I admire them.

Also found a fantastic commuter bike for only $450. Once I graduate, this might be my first little treat. It couldn't have been more than 30 pounds and came with a rack, compass and nice road/sport hybrid tires. Disregard my lack of technicality in naming the type of tire.

Kudos to the South West Florida Bicycle United Dealers for putting on such a terrific event.

Just don't sucker yourself into spending 22 dollars on two crappy sandwiches from Toojays. Though it may be tempting.
